Name: Sacha Colbourne

Sacha Colbourne has owned and run her own business since the age of eighteen. Her business 'Topaz Dream' manufactures natural aromatherapy products as well as designing personalised corporate company gifts. Aside from owning her own business, the past nine years have seen Sacha overcome many obstacles, natural for a young woman in business. This road of experience lead her to investigate other avenues including politics (running for her local council), mentoring young women, facilitating youth motivational programs, acting and modeling and finally youth work for Hume City Council.

 

Name: Monte Partridge

Monte's determination and ability to “think outside the box” has paved the way for an incredible career. After winning Gold at the 1997 Martial Arts World Championships, Monte's desire to share his knowledge and skills led to his first business - a Kung Fu school. Monte has also become an internationally recognised entertainer in a range of media, from performing magic onboard cruise ships to stand up comedy alongside some of Australia's top entertainers. This passion and dedication again led him to the elite of his field. With a desire to share his expertise, Monte now also runs Action Entertainment, a successful entertainment agency. In 2003, he was awarded the "Excellence in Business Youth Award" for his entrepreneurship. All by the age of 25!

 

Name: Kori Nemme

After graduating with 1st class honours for her research on a personal development program for youth, Kori is particularly interested in inspiring young people to be the best that they can be and the self-empowerment of women. At 23 she is currently undertaking PhD research which focuses upon the motivations and leadership of young people. Kori works as the Team Manager at Youth 2 Youth and also runs an enrichment program for primary aged students. Kori’s interests have lead her to set up clothing stalls at local markets, volunteering for FRANK magazine, and developing a local environmental care group. Her professional ‘F’ grade soccer career is yet to take off.

 

Name: Deborah Silva

When a promise to her family and friends to travel the world and return in eighteen months became a six-year North American adventure, Deborah Silva finally returned home with a global perspective, a passion for young people, and a desire to empower others to address the health issues that affect them the most. Deb currently runs her own consultancy business that helps schools, non-profits, sporting associations and local councils to engage local youth in developing behaviour change health programs. Deborah has a degree in Communications and Community Organisation, Resources and Services, a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment and a litany of workshops. She is a firm believer in always opening yourself up to new opportunities, new learning and new people, and continues to dream about her next adventure.

 

Name: David Tensen

It was while he was wheeling and dealing at the weekend markets in Victoria that David discovered the excitement and challenge of business. At just 13, David was already selling stationery from his high school locker and at 16 left school to pioneer a family buisness that now turns over more than $2 million per year. Now 27, David runs a photography and creative services business whilst overseeing the business and finance for a local community and care organisation on Bribie Island. "It's in my blood, I just love business and being creative!"

 

Name: Callan Taylor

Callan Taylor is an energetic, passionate and inspirational young person of just 19 years. Residing in South Australia, Callan went to Xavier College at Gawler before starting his own business at 17. Now as Managing Director of his own company, cjt design, Callan creates graphic, industrial and custom design projects for leading state, national and international companies. Design is definitely his passion but seeing young people develop and achieve is also something Callan keeps close to heart. Being a creative young business owner, and formerly a state cyclist with five state champion titles, Callan knows all about motivation, determination, and success.
